Contributory negligence is also known as half fault. The negligence is not totally being done by one party but this negligent behavior could be on the part of other parties too.
The person who claims before the court is also responsible for that damage.
For example, a driver is driving a car and has not fastened his seatbelt. The driver is not fully negligent as it is said earlier that he will be a “half faulty” because an accident does not occur yet but the driver is contributing towards the negligent behavior.
