Nolo contendere is the legal term which means that the defendant in a criminal prosecution does not accept that he/she is convicted rather they even do not a plea against that conviction.
The accused who has been convicted by the court of law accepts of being guilty but do not accepts of being convicted. Therefore there are many criminal offenders who accept themselves as being guilty of doing wrong but they do not go to the court against their conviction as they do not accept the conviction against them.
