Definition of Physical Properties

Any property of a physical system that can be described by a measurable value is termed as the physical property of that system. The physical properties can easily be observed, they are not modal and the changes in them can be used in order to determine the modifications between the instantaneous states.

The physical properties can be either intensive or extensive. Those properties which are independent of the size, the extent of the system and the concentration of the matter in the object are known as the intensive properties. On the contrary, the extensive properties depend on all of these. The color, temperature, shape, mass etc. are known as the physical properties.
