Definition of Scope Creep

Scope creep is defined as the changes in the scope of the project which is not agreed upon before the project goes through its cycle. The changes in the project are initiated by key stakeholders like customers or product testers. Scope creep also occurs when customer requirements change in the midway of project development either due to miscommunications or new features added up.

As the change is inevitable, changes in the project are expected and a good project plans their project and resources accordingly to meet the customer requirements which leads to scope creep.
