Self-efficacy is the awareness of an individual about his skills and the capability to perform a certain task. Self-efficacy and self-esteem are different in the sense that self-efficacy is only related to a precise task. Understanding one’s self-efficacy for management is very important. This allows management to channelize the tasks in the right way to the right employee.
On an individual level, understanding of self-efficacy is key to proper utilization of individual personal resources like skills, behavior, or motivation to complete the task.
